Marilyn L. Hubbard

She was born on April 22, 1930, in Kansas City, Kansas. Marilyn spent her childhood in Clay Center, KS where she developed a lifelong love of music and love for Jesus. She told stories of walking to school talking to the Lord!

She graduated from Kansas University in 1952. On June 5,1952, Marilyn married Robert Durham Ausherman. Together they made their home in Southern California, where they were blessed with four children. Following Robert’s passing in 1966, Marilyn returned to Lawrence, Kansas in 1971, with her children, where she became a music teacher.

Later, moving out to the country, Marilyn met future husband Kenneth Hubbard. They married on November 2, 1974. They resided in rural Baldwin City, KS where they worked together running the family dairy business. They shared 43 wonderful years of marriage until Ken’s passing in 2018.

Marilyn’s faith was the foundation of her life. She found joy in God’s creation, comfort in His promises, and strength in His unfailing love. A true prayer warrior, Marilyn always kept her entire family lifted in prayer.

She was a devoted mother, grandmother, and a great-grandmother whose love shaped the lives of generations. She celebrated every blessing, rejoiced in every milestone, and faithfully prayed for those she loved.

Marilyn is lovingly remembered by her four children, Barbara Hougland, David Ausherman (Jill) Linda Swanson (Scott) Bruce Ausherman (Shelley) her 10 grandchildren, Cheryl Hougland, Chris Hougland, Candice Densmore (Bret) Casey Ausherman, Grant Ausherman (Meghan) Daniel Swanson (Kelli) Sean Swanson, Taylor Ausherman (Dana) Emily Baughan (Zach) Landon Ausherman (Chelsy), and her 19 Great Grandchildren. Shania Vannoster, Soren Stout, Kayden Ausherman, Keldyn Cox, Addison Ausherman, Natalie Ausherman, Norah Densmore, Kenna Densmore, Waylen Ausherman, Chloe Ausherman, Max Baughan, Colin Ausherman, Leo Swanson, Cierra Ausherman, Miles Baughan, Klyde Ausherman, Catie Ausherman, Wyatt Ausherman, and Milena Baughan.

A celebration of life will be held August 1st, at the Worden Cornerstone Church, 294 E 900 Road Baldwin City, Kansas. Visitation at 10:00 a.m. Service at 11:00 a.m.
