Lois Ann Pusateri (Crotinger), aged 80, passed away on August 23, 2024, in Kansas City, MO. Born on December 12, 1943, in Great Bend, KS, Lois was a beacon of love and dedication, admired for her caring and adventurous spirit.
Lois' academic journey began at Otis Grade School and continued at Otis High School, graduating in 1962. She pursued her passion for helping others at the Dominican School of Nursing, earning a BSN and becoming a Registered Nurse. Furthering her education, she obtained a B.A. in Psychology from Rockhurst College. Lois dedicated her professional life to emergency nursing and critical care, teaching advanced life support courses and nurturing future nurses. After retiring in 2010, she became a Certified Wholistic Health Coach, continuing to impact lives positively.
Lois' commitment to her faith was evident in her active involvement at St. Sabina Catholic Church. Her hobbies included gardening, snow skiing, swimming, horseback riding, and traveling, which she shared with a wide circle of family and friends. Lois' home was a hub of warmth, often hosting pool parties, sleepovers and building forts with her grandchildren.
Lois is survived by her children, Jacquie, Steve, Gina, and Joni; grandchildren, Knox, Manning, and Ellie; siblings, Cindy, Florence, Sue, Debbie, Rosemary, Eugene, and Michael. She was preceded in death by her parents, Art and Olga Crotinger; sisters, Dorothy, Carol, MaryAnn; and her beloved husband, Joseph Pusateri.
A rosary will be held at 9:30 AM on Friday, August 30th, followed by a visitation at 10 AM and a memorial service/mass at 11 AM at St. Sabina Catholic Church, 700 Trevis Ave., Belton, MO 64012.
