Never one to be idle he then took a part time position with the Ray Pec Schools as a janitor for one year and then moved to Golden Years Nursing Home until his permeant retirement in 2004. He was always finding way to make extra money to give his children everything they needed even while with the Glaziers doing various things like pumping gas and working at the roller rink. Junior believed in giving back to the community coaching Little League football and baseball from 1977 to 1980. He was an active member of the Ray-Pec Booster Club from 1981-1985 during which time he -filmed all the Ray-Pec football games and took charge of finding volunteers for parking cars at the Kansas City Chief’s games as a fund raiser for the club. He was also an active member of the AAPI Association and held several offices with them. Junior’s pride and joy was his family. His oldest son, Larry followed his footsteps as a Glazier, his son Gary has been with the Ray-Pec school district for 25 yrs. as a teacher and coach while daughter, Sandy has been in banking for 40 yrs., and daughter, Jackie has been in the insurance business for 3o yrs. He was able to spend quality time with his family attending BBQ and sporting events with his son Gary, having the joy of a Nascar Race at the Kansas Speedway with daughter Jackie and her husband, using his wood working skills to help remodel daughter Sandy’s farm house and on September 11, 2014 going on the Honor Flight in the company of his son Larry who he shared stories that the family had never heard before about his time in Korea. Junior loved his work shop at this daughter’s house where he would take a thermos of coffee and sit on the screened in porch listening and birds and watching the dogs chase squirrels. From his love of wood working the family has a baby bed made for the first grandchild that has held many more his grands and rocking horses. This loving dedicated husband, father and grandfather will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
