

Larry J. Terrill of Blue Springs, MO died July 6, 2026 at the age of 83, after "living a good life"(his words). He was born on January 19, 1943 in Vernon County, MO. His parents and siblings all proceeded him in death. He grew up and attended school in Liberal, MO where he graduated from high school in 1961. After having several short-term jobs, he moved to Kansas City, MO and went to work for Hallmark Cards in August of 1962 retiring from there in July of 1998. After spending some time helping family and friends with some construction projects, he took a part time job with Molle Chevrolet transporting cars for several years.
Larry loved to tell stories, sometimes the same ones over and over. When visiting he would often delay leaving to tell one more story.
Larry enjoyed traveling having covered all 50 states and many foreign countries. He travelled to Texas in the winter for ten years enjoying the milder weather and making lots of friends. He enjoyed sking with friends and family and spent many weekends traveling by sleeper bus to Colorado to ski with his buddy. He came home with more stories to tell of their shenanigans as both of them are pretty onerery. He also enjoyed fishing, camping, and golf. He spent many hours fishing and camping at Truman Lake. He golfed in the Hallmark league and continued to golf with some of his co-workers after retirement. He also enjoyed spending time with friends, playing cards, eating a meal, watching a Chief's game, or just visiting, and always sharing a story or two.
Larry was a prankster who enjoyed playing pranks on everyone. Many of his pranks were anonymous but more likely than not, he was found out.
But most of all he enjoyed his family. After visits he would often repeat things his grandchildren and great grandchildren said and would reminisce about the thing they did.
Larry is survived by his wife of nearly 62 years, Beverly, their son, Michael (Donna), Blue Springs, MO, four grandchildren, and nine great grandchildren.
A celebration of life will be announced later. Per Larry's wishes, he will be cremated.
