Kristen L. Hursman

Kristen L. Hursman, 49, passed in peace at home with her mother by her side on Sunday, December 31st, 2017. She is survived by her mother, Joyce Hursman; sister, Alyssa Jordan and nephew, Zhaun Jordan along with her beloved pet Cheekoo. She is preceded in death by her father, Garey W. Hursman; grandparents Art and Adrienne Layton, John, and Louella Hursman and brother in law, Doug Jordan. A memorial service is planned for Saturday, January 13th, 2018 at 11 am in the Wesley Chapel at the Church of the Resurrection, 13720 Roe Avenue Leawood, Kansas 66224. Arrangements have been made for an Interpreter. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to American Cancer Society. All Is Well Death is nothing at all, I have only slipped away into the next room. Whatever we were to each other, we still are. Please, call me by my old familiar name. Speak of me in the same easy way you always did. Laugh, as we always laughed, at the little jokes we shared together. Think of me and smile. Let my name be the household name it always was, Spoken without the shadow of a ghost in it. Life means all it ever meant. It is the same as it ever was. Death is inevitable, so why should I be out of mind because I am out of sight? I am but waiting for you, - for an interval very near.
