Known for his kind, gentle, inviting personality, Jack never met a stranger and could strike up a conversation with anyone, anywhere. Whether cheering on the Cubs (and Royals if they weren't playing the Cubs), playing a round of golf, or fishing with his son, he loved sports and watching his teams. He also loved spending time with his sweet dogs. Jack was a proud veteran of the Vietnam War and worked in sales his entire career. He was a man of faith and he and his wife enjoyed helping others in their spiritual growth.
Above all, Jack loved his family. He leaves behind a legacy of faith, love, kindness and great stories. He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Deanna Watt, son, Brian Watt (Lacey) of Gladstone, MO, step-daughter Dawna McGill (Mike) of Ozawkie, KS, and grandchildren, Jacob Watt, Emma Watt, Conner Craig and Taryn Craig. He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Grace Watt, his brother, Bob Watt, his sister, Carol Watt, and his step-daughter, Carol Craig.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Tuesday, July 28, 2026, at St. James Catholic Church, 309 S. Stewart Rd., Liberty, MO 64068. Visitation will begin at 9:30 a.m., followed by Mass at 11:00 a.m. and a luncheon at the church.
