Houston Sieber McGahan died on May 20, 2017. He was born in St. Petersburg, FL on September 14, 1990. Shortly thereafter, he moved to the Chicago suburbs. He grew up there during the Chicago Bulls/Michael Jordan era; Houston's nickname was ''hair Jordan'' because of his dark, thick hair and ever-present basketball. He loves sports, playing catcher in Little League, and rooted for the Cubbies, the Rays, and the Royals. Houston was a loyal and faithful friend; he adored his family and held them in high esteem, and he loved his dogs, Scandy, Gucci and Lucy. Houston loved clothes. There weren't enough days in the week or months in the year for him to wear everything in his extensive wardrobe. More importantly, Houston loved ministry and helping others, especially the poor and downtrodden. A highlight of his life was a mission trip to Mexico where he served underprivileged children. Most recently, he was involved with Steve-O's Last Wish, a Kansas City-based non-profit dedicated to helping the homeless of Kansas City. There are countless stories of Houston going out of his way to help others. Houston lived life to the full. He was witty and intelligent, meticulous and dapper. He loved to laugh and sing, especially Frank Sinatra standards. He is survived by his loving parents Tom and Charlotte Lake McGahan of Leawood, KS and his sister Elizabeth McGahan Muxlow (Kevin) of Prairie Village, KS, aunts and uncles John and Diane Lake Weatherell and Richard (Dick) and Cynthia Lake Farrell, and cousins John, Courtney and Katharine Katzenberger and Ian Weatherell. He was precessed by his grandparents E.R. and Louise McGahan and John B. (Jack) and Katharine Ann Lake. Houston's life has left a lasting impact on all who knew him, and he will be sorely missed. Gifts in memory of Houston can be sent to www.SteveOsWish.org. Jesus said, "I am the Way, and the Truth and the Life. No one comes to the Father except through Me." John 14:6
