Harlan Gilbert Hinnerichs, 83, passed away on July 17, 2026. He was born on September 8, 1942, in Norfolk, Nebraska, to Gilbert and Nina Hinnerichs of Stanton, Nebraska. Harlan was a resident of Kansas City, Missouri.
Harlan served his country in the United States Navy and served aboard the Keppler, a chapter of his life marked by duty, steadiness, and quiet commitment.
Harlan married Joann Marshall, and together they built a family that remained at the center of his life. He is survived by two children: Shari Hinnerichs and Bonnie Hinnerichs of Independence, Missouri; and three brothers Terry Hinnerichs of New Mexico; Mike Hinnerichs and Dallas Hinnerichs of Stanton, Nebraska. He is also survived by three granddaughters.
Harlan was preceded in death by his parents and by one brother, Dennis Hinnerichs.
Celebration of Life will be held at a time to be announced.
