Gary S. Fawkes

Gary Sellens Fawkes, of Liberty, MO passed away on Saturday, November 18, 2017 at the age of 78. Cremation Service is provided by the Neptune Society of Kansas City. At Gary’s request, there will be no memorial service. Born March 8, 1939, he was the son of Cecil and Eileen (Bladen) Sellens After the death of his biological mother, he was raised from infancy and adopted by Clio and Hilda (Casper) Fawkes. On Aug 14, 1960, he married Suzanne Elizabeth Althouse in Cameron, MO. They remained married for 56 years. After fulfilling his military service in the US Army, Gary earned a BS in Business Administration from the University of Missouri. He was a personnel placement consultant for much of his career. He co-founded Sterling St. James, LLP with his business partner Victoria Kennison. Gary enjoyed fishing trips with his family, antique collecting and traveling abroad with his wife. Gary is survived by his son, Carter Fawkes (Sherry) of Marshall, MO; his daughter Jill Hayden (Fred) of Wasilla, AK; five grandchildren, Jonathan Fawkes (Rachel) of St. Charles, MO; Christian Fawkes of Marshall, MO; Johnathan Hayden of Anchorage, AK; Joseph Rotert (Stephanie) of Longview, TX; Michele Giffin of Durham, NC and his sister Alyce Mason (Jim) of Leawood, KS and his brother Charles Sellens of Independence, MO as well as extended family and friends. He was preceded in death by his wife, his parents and his sister, Dorothy Sellens Lemen..
