Eleanor Marie Markle

Ellie was born July 1, 1944 in Morristown, Pennsylvania. She married her first love, Ross (Mark) Markle in 1963 and raised 3 boys, Tyler, Ryan and Jason. Ellie and Ross were married for 54 years!

She was dedicated U.S Army spouse and loving mother to her children. She enjoyed simple things in life, so easy to please. Bowling, playing soccer, watching “love” themed movies, knitting, crossword puzzles and sharing with friends were things she enjoyed. Ellie also became quite the BINGO Savage!

Everything Ellie did was always filled with love and compassion for others. From her time as Secretary at Immaculata High School, co-owner of our family business Harris Brothers Cleaners for 30 years, and endless volunteer positions throughout the Leavenworth community. Ellie had a heart larger than life!

Ellie was preceded in death by her husband Ross. She is survived her by brother Jim, three sons Tyler (Lisa) grandchildren Justin and Jessica, Ryan (Carol) grandchildren Matthew, Lauryn, Zachery and Kimberly and Jason (Lisa) grandchildren Jacob and Connor.

Ellie and Ross Markle will be placed together at Leavenworth Veterans Administration in National Cemetery, November 3rd, 2023 at 10:00 AM, followed by a Celebration of Life gathering. Details for Celebration will be announced later.
