

Ed grew up in Kansas City, Kansas graduating from Wyandotte High School in 1964. He was employed by KDOT as an equipment operator and took early retirement in 2001. After retirement, Ed joined Pro Marketing as a Manager (affiliated with Home Depot at that time). He also worked at American Eagle Outfitters Distribution Center and Advance Auto Parts.
On January 21, 1967, Ed was united in marriage to Judy A. Ayres in Kansas City, Kansas. They had two sons, Jeffrey and Scott Pinder.
Ed was an avid fly fisherman! He enjoyed many years of camping and fishing at Bennett Spring State Park in Lebanon, Missouri with his family. He also had a love of cars and trucks and enjoyed working on them. He enjoyed car shows and showing their Camaro.
Ed battled Pancreatic cancer since February 2022. He was hospitalized on October 2, 2022 and spent 18 days in CCU before his system started to shut down and was moved to Olathe Hospice House when he passed on October 31, 2022 at 1:50 a.m.
The grandkids were his absolute joy in life and he enjoyed every opportunity to be with them as they grew up. His heart was full to see his family and grandkids throughout his journey and visiting daily while in CCU/Hospice House.
Ed is preceded in death by his parents, Edward W. and Emily and his son, Jeffrey.
He is survived by his wife Judy Pinder, son Scott Pinder (Heather), sister Susan Gilbert (John), brother Mark Pinder (Joy), 4 grandchildren Brandi Williams (Justin), Morganne Pinder, Emily Pinder and Paige Pinder, one great-grandson Drake Pinder and another great-grandson due in January 2023, nephews Jason Craig and David Pinder (Courtney), niece Desiree Payne (Josey), great-niece Hadley Pinder and another great-niece due late December 2022, and great-nephew Clayton Craig.
Memorial donations will be divided and personally handed to the Olathe Hospice House and Franklin County Cancer Foundation.
