Dolores Palmer (Smith), 87, died peacefully on December 26, 2024. Dolores was born on August 16, 1937 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to Louis and Naomi Smith. Dolores married Glenn Palmer, in 1955. The couple welcomed two children into their home.
Dolores is preceded in death by her husband, Glenn, parents, and sister, Phyllis.
Dolores is survived by her children, Amy (Lee Root) and Ronald; siblings, Sonny, Pat, Nancy, Louise, David, and Jan; grandchildren, Kristine Cooper and Michael Palmer, great-grandchildren, Klaire Cooper, Kent Cooper, Natalie Palmer, and Rylie Palmer; and many nieces and nephews.
A funeral will not be held. There will be a memorial gathering in the spring. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be sent to Hand in Hand Hospice at 1201 W. 12th Ave., Emporia, KS 66801.
The family would like to thank Nancy Bell, Brandi Smith, and Hand in Hand Hospice for their care and dedication to Dolores.
