Damon Michael Pind

Damon graduated from Platte County R3 High School in 1997. During high school he attended vocational school and loved his writing class. Damon had a vast knowledge of firearms that he had learned from his father and worked at Show Me Shooters for many years. Damon followed in his grandfather, Woody’s, and his father, Don’s footsteps to learn the art of masonry. He developed his skills and took over the family business, Pind Masonry Company, in 2016. He was known for building fireplaces, stone or stack block walls, and stone or paver patios. Damon had many passions and hobbies that included, building targets for his daily knife throwing, motorcycles, martial arts, hunting with his father, learning about the Viking traditions, playing his guitar, and installing and perfecting his car audio equipment. Damon was most recently enjoying creating the home and farm of his and Sandy’s dreams, and spoiling his beloved Neo Mastiff, Hades.

Damon is preceded in death by his mother Sherrie Pind (Brown); grandparents, Woodrow and Oleta Pind; grandparents, Raymond and Maxine Brown.

Damon is survived by father, Don Pind; fiancé, Sandy Dungan; brother, Dustin Pind and wife Lucy; sister, Kim McCafferty and husband, Chris; nephew and nieces, Devin Pind, Holly Beckman (Pind); Amanda Grafton; Shyanne Moore, and many friends.

The family would like to thank the doctors and nurses in the ICU department at Liberty Hospital and the staff from Midwest Transplant for the special care they took of Damon and the family.

A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday November 23, 2024, starting at 2pm at The American Legion Hall, located at 5125 N Bellaire Ave, Kansas City, MO 64119, where we will share stories, memories, pictures and food.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to the charity of your choice or the following in Memory of Damon Pind.
