Dale was born in Mt. Vernon, New York on April 9, 1936 to Sam and Phyllis (Matoske) Barham. The family moved to Topeka, Kansas where Dale attended Topeka High School and then graduated from University of Kansas.
Family was her first priority when she lived in Columbus, Indiana. She was also a founder of Columbus’ first hospice group, where she was also a volunteer for five years.
In 2000, she moved with Bill to Fullerton, California and their final move together was in 2011, settling in Kansas City, Missouri.
Dale leaves behind her partner, Bill Anderson, son, John Evans (Melanie) of Balve, Germany, and daughters, Kathy Evans of Cincinnati, Ohio and Sarah Evans Kahn of San Francisco, California along with brother, Peter Barham (Vicki) of Fairway, Kansas. “Didi” or “Oma” is also survived by her grandchildren: Melissa Evans and Emilie Muhling, Wesley and Jack McKeown, and Stella and Sadie Kahn. She was predeceased by her brother, Jeb Barham.
