Connie Jane Krueger

Connie grew up in Fessenden, North Dakota, alongside her sister, Patricia Solberg White. She adored her small-town upbringing.

After graduating from high school, she attended Concordia College in Moorhead, Minnesota, where she earned a degree in Elementary Education in 1962. She went on to teach first grade for seven years.

Connie was married to James Tangen for 20 years, and from that union she was blessed with her children, Jill, Paul, Stephanie, and Kristin. She later married Gerald Krueger in 1984, gaining two stepdaughters, Kristine and Angela.

Connie never lacked for friends. She had a genuine interest in the lives of others and made everyone feel seen and valued. She was exceptionally proud of her Norwegian heritage and enjoyed traveling, always embracing new adventures with enthusiasm and joy.

Connie loved the Lord. Her faith was an important part of her life, and she faithfully taught Sunday School for several years.

She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend whose warmth and kindness touched everyone who knew her.

Connie is survived by her husband, Gerry; her children, Jill (Craig), Paul, Stephanie (Dan), and Kristin (Brad); and her stepdaughters, Kristine and Angela (Andrew). She was preceded in death by her parents, Mac and Evelyn Solberg.

A memorial service will be held on May 5, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. A lunch reception will follow at Church of the Resurrection, Welsley Chapel, Bld #C, 13720 Roe Ave. Leawood, Kansas 66224.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations to KC Pet Project or Hope House Kansas City.
