Charles Andrew (Andre’) Russback, affectionately known as Charlie, entered his heavenly home, Tuesday, September 19, 2017, at the age of 97 years, eleven months, and four days. He was born October 15, 1919, in Kansas City, Missouri. His parents, Charles and Jeannette (Borel) Russback, were Swiss immigrants, so Charlie was a first generation American in the family. He served his country in the United States Navy during WWII. On December 31, 1959, he married Martha M. Hill in Kansas City, Missouri. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Martha Russback, Raymore, Missouri; daughter, Charlene Kay (Steven) Neighbors, Phoenix, Arizona; son, John Andre’ (Tamarha) Russback, Lees Summit, Missouri; son, David Francis (Sarah) Russback, Alton, Missouri; daughter, Nancy Jeannette (Carl) Smith, Raymore, Missouri; fifteen grandchildren: Lisa Rodriguez, Robin Moore, Terry Myers, Shawn Myers, Melissa Neighbors, Melinda Maselbas, Peter Trent, Derek Neighbors, Laura Hayes, Katherine Qualls, Joshua Smith, Jordie Smith, Kristina Coffman, Kari Russback, and Makenzie Russback; twenty-three great-grandchildren, one great-grandchild expected in November, eleven great-great grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Jeannette Russback; son, Charles Ray Russback; daughter, Paula Sue Myers; grandson, Blaine A. Barry; granddaughter, Makayla Rochelle (Russback) Reynolds; sisters, Betty Jane Michaelis and Aline Mabel Stinebaugh. Visitation will be Monday, September 25, 2017, at 10:00 a.m., with a memorial service following at 11:00 a.m., at the Raymore First Baptist Church, Raymore, Missouri, with J.C. Beckner officiating. Interment will be in the Raymore Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made to The Village at Carroll Park, 5301 Harry Truman Drive, Grandview, Missouri, 64030, in memory of Charles Russback.
