Bret Michael Westrope

Bret built his life around his love for good food and good company. Often sharing his culinary skills with others. His steady work ethic and attention to detail were evident in every part of his life. Bret's love for his family was unwavering. He will be remembered for his generosity and compassion for others. His memory will live on in the lessons he taught and the love he gave so freely.

Bret is survived by his mother, Patricia Bradbury; his sons, Anthony O'Neill, Joshua Zumwalt, Michael Zerrudo (Franz), and Christopher Wong (Jen); and his grandchildren, Aubrie Zumwalt, Francine and Mikayla Zerrudo, and Caleb, Elijah, Jeremiah, Gianna and Isaiah Wong. He is also survived by his brothers, Kevin and Doug Westrope.

Family and friends are invited to celebrate Bret's life at the Creekmoor Golf Clubhouse in Raymore, MO on October 17th from 2-4pm. Bring your favorite memories and stories to share. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to Wayside Waifs animal shelter in honor of Bret's love for his dogs and the strays he rescued.

Bret was preceded in death by his father, Howard Westrope; his brother, Jeff Westrope; and his sisters, Connie Walker and Kim Harrison.
