Mrs. Brenda Sue Kupneski (Neal), 81, passed away peacefully on March 16, 2025. Sue was born on October 16, 1943, in Bethalto, Illinois to Arthur Harland and Jessie Mae Neal. She graduated from Central High School in Springfield, Missouri in 1961. Sue married Joseph in 1966 and they welcomed 2 children, Laura in 1967 and Michael in 1971. Her children remember her as a loving, caring, giving mother. Sue worked as a hairdresser for over 30 years. She loved to sew and was very passionate about quilting. She was an active member of Holy Spirit Catholic Church.
Sue is preceded in death by her parents, Arthur Harland and Jessie Mae Neal, and her sisters Laretta Mae Greene and Priscilla Ann Hacker.
Sue is survived by her loving husband Joseph; daughter Laura; son Michael (Nanci); and grandchildren Scott, Taylor (Christian) and Carter who were her world. Sue also leaves behind many wonderful friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be sent to the American Diabetes Association or the St Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital.
