Bette H Brown

Bette H. (Burke) Brown was born on October 18, 1932 in Scraton, PA to Leona Burke and was raised by her mother and her step-father Hershel Howell. She passed on December 15, 2017 in Blue Springs, MO with her daughter at her side. Bette was a woman of many passions including ice skating, breeding Persian cats, and an expansive doll collection. Bette who was very beautiful and photogenic was a print model in the 70’s. She also was a secretary in the insurance industry. Bette is preceded in death by her loving husband of 65 years, Richard Brown who passed earlier this year. She is survived by her children Gail Pappas (Michael) and Gary Brown (Piera) along with four grandchildren, Aimee Motisi (Victor), Amanda Pappas, Matt Brown (Kim), and Michael Brown, three great grandchildren, Ainsley Motisi, Ellie Brown and Owen Borwn. No services at this time but the family requests donations to: Kansas City Pet Project, 4400 Raytown Road, Kansas City, MO in her honor. Bette will be missed by all!
