Arthur G Flenker

(Haney) Flenker. Arthur passed on October 24, 2016 at Overland Park Regional Hospital with

his family by his side.

Art grew up in Mission, Kansas and graduated from Shawnee Mission High School. He

went on to Baker University where he met his wife Wanda Jean Harris. In October of 1953 Art

joined the United States Army and served his country as a corporal until October 1955. He

returned to Kansas City to enjoy a 30 year sales management career with the J. I. Case

Company. Spending time with friends and family at the lake or the golf course were some of his

favorite times. Art had a great affection for dogs; especially basset hounds. He was a master

kidder and never met a stranger.

Family was an important part of Arthur’s life. He has left behind a daughter Robin and

her husband Kendall Brown as well as 3 grandchildren: Jocelyn, Jared and Jordan and 3 great

grandchildren. Art was preceded in death by his wife Wanda Jean, his brother Harvey Gerald,

and his parents.

Memorial service in celebration of his life will be at 10:00 am. Thursday, November 17,

2016 at Christ Lutheran Church, 11720 Nieman Rd. Overland Park, Kansas. In lieu of flowers,

the family requests that donations be made to Christ
