Platte City, MO- Anita G. Salazar, 82, passed away peacefully in her home Wednesday, March 1, 2017 surrounded by family. She leaves her husband of 60 years, Antonio Salazar; her two daughters Aida (Richard) Taylor and Sylvia (Ramiro) Gonzalez; her two sons, Arnulfo Salazar and Luis (Yolonda) Taylor; eight grandchildren--Melinda, Gabby, Ramiro, Jonathan, Theresa, Rene, Anthony, and Aaron; five great-grandchildren, one great-great grandchild and many nieces, nephews and friends. In her early years, Mrs. Salazar loved playing softball. Later in life, she enjoyed quilting and crocheting when she wasn't taking care of her husband and family. Mrs. Salazar always loved to laugh. She was such a creative, generous, and fun-loving person. She was also very realistic and believed in dealing with life head-on. She would definitely want to be remembered with a smile on her face. A memorial service was held Friday March 3, 2017 at Twelve Apostles Catholic Church in Platte City. Private service and inurnment will be held at a later date.
