Alexander N. Vedros, 88, was born on Dec. 10, 1927 in Independence, MO and. passed on away on July 24, 2016 at the Missouri Veteran’s Home in Warrensburg, MO with his family by his side. Alex was a proud veteran of the US Marine Corp. Being an extrovert, he was an amazing salesman, earning the great honor of Salesman of the Year for Smith Grieves. Alex had a rare contentment which gave him an authenticity often not found in others. He always told his sons: “Never back down from a fight, but don’t be the one who starts it”. Alexander is survived by his two sons: George Vedros ( 65 ) and Nick Vedros ( 63) of Kansas City, his sister; Mary Antos of Kansas City, 3 grandchildren, and numerous other family members. There will be a private service to immediate family members before the Memorial Service which is on Thursday, July 28, 2016 at 11:00 AM at St. Dionysios Greek Orthodox Church, 8100 W 95th Street, Overland Park, KS. The family askes in lieu of flowers that donations be made to the Veterans Assisted League, 1300 Veterans Road, Warrensburg, MO 64093.
