Wanda Teresa Stockbridge

Wanda, was born on February 17, 1951 in Utica, New York to the late Julius A. Koba and Lorraine Peters. Wanda lived much of her life in Westmoreland, NY where she met and married her husband, Donald Stockbridge, on February 18,1967. Wanda and Donald raised three children in Westmoreland, New York before moving to Oneida Lake, New York where they had a camp that they enjoyed hosting family and friends. Wanda worked several years at the Sitrin Health Care Center in New Hartford, New York.

Wanda enjoyed cooking and passed down generational Lebanese and Syrian recipes to her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed boating, camping & riding motorcycles.Wanda had a green thumb and kept a garden. She was an avid reader and read countless books in her lifetime. After retirement Wanda and her husband relocated to Palm Coast Florida to enjoy the sunshine. Wanda owned a cooking business where she continued to work for a few more years.

Wanda was known for her incredible strength that she showed during a lengthy battle with cancer. Wanda remained active up until her final days and never complained . She is an inspiration to her family, friends, and neighbors. Wanda showed tenacity, fortitude, and resiliency towards any struggle that came her way.

She is survived by her husband Donald Stockbridge, Palm Coast FL, her children Donald Stockbridge Jr. ( Peanut), West Winfield, NY, Becki Stockbridge, Ormond Beach FL, Paul Stockbridge, Canastota, NY, daughter in laws Traci Stockbridge and Jennifer Taylor, her grandchildren, Jesse Stockbridge, Mason Stockbridge, Adam Stockbridge, & Toby Fitzgerald, great grandchildren Helena, Amina, Skylar, and Aliyah Stockbridge, her sisters, Julie Hewitt Law (Spike), Brenda Knoeller, brother in law Mark Knoeller, sisters in-law Susan Koba, Linda Theime, Terry Swald, Step-Mother, June Scoones, several nieces & nephews and her dog Shep.

She is predeceased by her parents, Julius Koba & Lorraine Peters, her grandparents Menis & Josephine Peters, her Aunt & Uncle, Wanda & Roger Piersall, her brothers Steven & Randy Koba, her cousin Michael Piersall, sister in law Gail Nicholas, Mother & Father in laws Harold & Carol Stockbridge.

In keeping with her wishes, there will be no services. Rest in Peace Wanda Stockbridge (Sissy Koba).
