Thomas W. Tilman Jr. of Fleming Island, FL passed away peacefully in his home with family by his side in the evening hours on March 18, 2025 at the age of 78. He was born on January 14, 1947 in Annapolis, Maryland. He graduated from Fernandina Beach High School in 1966. Tom served in the Air Force as a Ground Power Technician from 1966 - 1970 and was stationed in Germany, proudly serving our country during the Vietnam War era. Tom worked as Computer Analyst / IT Specialist at NAS Jax until his retirement in 2011. He was actively involved in Kam Lee Center Taji Kung Fu Academy, the American Legion, and the Masons.
He is preceded in death by his mother Madeline M. (Dietz) Tilman and father Thomas W. Tilman, Sr. He is survived by his beloved wife Gloria C. Tilman, sister Margie H. Parker, daughters Kelly Hamilton and Kimberly Langlois, and his four grandchildren.
Tom was a devoted husband of 49 years, a loving father and brother, and was a friend to all those he met. His strength, determination, and forever willingness to be a life-long learner will be greatly missed by many. The family would like to thank Dr. Vankayala and the staff at the Cancer Specialists of North Florida for the care and compassion they showed our loved one in their final years of life.
