Steven Mark Warshauer, 74, passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 26, after a short battle with cancer, surrounded by family and friends. He was a longtime resident of Hartland, Wisconsin, and, for the past 11 years, of Fort White, Florida.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Bette Lou Swallow; his father, Harold Warshauer; and his sister, Holly (Warshauer) Janscha. Steven is survived by his loving partner of 20 years, Rose Hauke; his son, Todd (Nicole) Warshauer; his daughters, Krista (Sean) Tillotson and Lindsay (Dustin) Sandstrom; six cherished grandchildren (Harlie, Tekla, Finley, Morgan, Bode, and Avery); and siblings Julie (Warshauer) Spanton, Jeff Warshauer, and Jim Warshauer.
Steven was an avid golfer, hunter, and skier, as well as a master carpenter whose craftsmanship was both a skill and a passion. He had a love for landscaping and gardening and took great joy in cooking, often sharing stories behind his dishes to make every meal a memorable experience.
In accordance with Steven’s wishes, no formal services will be held. A private family ceremony will be held at a later date at his final resting place, St. Peter’s Episcopal Church in North Lake, Wisconsin.
The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the Lake City, Florida, Community Hospice and Palliative Care Team for their compassionate care and support during Steven’s final days.
