Steven Theodore Nelson

He was born on September 15, 1958 in Lansing, MI to Roger M. Nelson and Carol J. Nelson (deceased) of Jacksonville Beach. He spent his childhood in Louisville, KY and then enlisted in the US Army where he was a Sergeant and served 15 years, 10 years of which he served in Germany.

Including his father, Steve is survived by his children Andrew Sterner of NC and Jennifer Nelson of Germany, 3 grandchildren, siblings Angie Redden (Dan), Karen Nelson, Jeffrey Nelson, Kelly Goodchild (Peter), and many nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held on July 26th at 10:00 am at the Jacksonville National Cemetery 4083 Lannie Rd., Jacksonville, FL 32218, with Chaplain J. Scott Shubert USN (Ret) officiating.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Salvation Army.
