Stephen Hix Wright, 77, of Jacksonville, FL passed away peacefully on June 24, 2023. Born in Nashville, TN to Edgar Arthur Wright and Mary Paul Wright. Growing up in Memphis, TN and Charlotte, NC, Steve attended Wofford College after which he served in the United States Honor Guard for 4 years.
After the Army, Steve spent his career in paper and packaging sales, as a real estate appraiser and a real estate agent.
Steve is preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife of 18 years Teresa, son Jeffrey (Pitcha), granddaughter Madelyn, sister Julie Neely (Craig) and nieces, nephews, cousins.
The family would like to express its many thanks to the Community Hospice and Palliative Care of Jacksonville, FL for their caring devotion in keeping Steve comfortable during his last days.
Family and friends are invited to attend a memorial service at the Jacksonville National Cemetery, 4083 Lannie Road, Jacksonville, FL 32218 on Friday, August 11, 2023 at 11am. Steve is known for his khaki shorts, button-down oxford shirt and boat shoes. Everyone is welcome to dress similarly as the service will be held outdoors.
