He served in the United States Navy from 1958-1960. Dick spent a life long career as a mechanical engineer and was working for W.W. Gay Mechanical Contractor when he founded Islands Mechanical Contractor, which he was a co-owner of before retiring. He was loved by all whose lives he touched and was known for his down to earth welcoming personality, generosity and humorous spirit. All who knew him can attest to his kindness.
Richard will be greatly missed by all of his children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, relatives and many friends. His family is comforted by knowing he is now re-united in heaven with his longtime love and wife Patty.
