Piedad Maria Ortiz “Pity” a beloved wife, mother, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt and friend, passed away peacefully at the age of 91, surrounded by family. Her journey through life, which began on December 14th 1933, was marked by an unwavering commitment to her family and friends. Leaving an indelible mark on all who were fortunate enough to know her.
Pity Ortiz, was known for her devotion and love for her family, friends and especially her grandchildren. Jordan Ortiz, Taylor Ortiz, Amber Ortiz, Amanda Ortiz, Jesse Ortiz, Abigail Ortiz, Alyssa Avila and Demi Ancona. Brought immeasurable joy into her life. She reveled in their laughter, nurtured their dreams, and imparted upon them the profound importance of kindness and empathy. As a grandmother she spent cherished moments with them, she ensured that her legacy of compassion would continue through the generations.
She leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and cherished memories that will live on in our hearts, her wisdom and strength were an inspiration to us all, and we will forever be grateful for her guidance. She taught us the true meaning of family, and we will carry her love with us always. She was a beacon of light in our lives, and her absence leaves a void that can never be filled. The world is a little dimmer without her, but her love continues to shine brightly.
Pity is survived by her devoted and loving husband, Rafael E. Ortiz, and their children, Rafael A Ortiz, spouse Adriana Ortiz and Michael A Ortiz and his spouse Kristen Ortiz; niece, Theresa Benavides, her spouse, Lester Benavides and their children Matthew and Gavin Benavides. She will be fondly remembered by her closest friends Capy, Rachel and Theresa; amongst many others that loved her dearly.
Preceded in death by her Parents, Theresa Sola, Marcelino Leara and siblings, Gloria, Estrella, Aida, Delia, Danny and Ralph.
The family would like to thank Jenny Salazar Soto whom was like a daughter to her, and her spouse Kleber Soto; her niece, Theresa Benavides and her spouse Lester Benavides for the care and compassion they showed our loved one while living and in her final days.
