Marlene Louise Shadley Johnson

Marlene Louise Shadley Johnson of Deland, Florida passed away on Wednesday, January 15, 2025 at the age of 87. She was born on April 28,1937 in Dayton, Ohio to parents, Katheryn Woodard and Luther Dewain Shadley. She was the youngest of four children. Her siblings were Norma Short, Joann Liszak and Dale Shadley.

Marlene graduated from Beaver Creek High School, then went on to earn a degree in Accounting from Jones College. She worked many years as an accountant in her small business accounting practice in Daytona Beach, Florida until her retirement. She was also actively involved in numerous Women in Business Associations in the area.

In her final years, she loved to paint, socialize with friends, and most of all, spend time with her family. She dedicated her entire life to her family, they were her world.

She is preceded in death by her mother and father, Kathryn Woodard & Luther Dewain Shadley; her sister Norma Short; her brother Dale Shadley; and her son Timothy Johnson.

Marlene is survived by her daughter, Cherie Hall and wife Leslie; her son, Ed Johnson and wife Delana; her sister Joann Liszak; her grandchildren, Kelly Johnson, Tiffany Harbin, Ashley Graham, Samantha Sherman, Robert Bates, Ryan Taggart and Kaitlyn Luna; and great-grandchildren, Mckenzie, John, Jadelyn and Jacob.
