The daughter of Francis and Mildred Lang, Marge was born February 7, 1930, in Tekamah, Nebraska. She attended Midland Lutheran College in Fremont, Nebraska, where she met her husband, Ludwig “Tex” Niemann. They married in 1951.
Marge and Tex lived in several states while raising their three daughters, Marcia, Janice, and Carla. Marge encouraged her daughters to pursue their own interests and ambitions and remained an active and supportive part of their lives.
When Carla left for college, Marge returned to school herself, earning her MBA in 1978. She went on to become a CPA and partner in her accounting firm. Throughout her life, Marge was active in the churches she attended, readily volunteering her time and serving on committees wherever she could be of help.
Marge was intelligent, kind, compassionate, and a lifelong planner. She enjoyed playing Scrabble and continued her weekly games well into her 90s, remaining a formidable and frequent winner. Above all, she will be remembered for her loving spirit, her genuine interest in the lives of those she loved, and her encouragement to pursue their own paths.
Marjorie is survived by her daughter Janice Niemann Clark (Robert) of Orange Park, Florida; daughter Carla Niemann (Dan Daily) of Dallas, Texas; grandsons Josh Ferguson (Summer) of Knoxville, Tennessee, Daniel Ferguson of Seymour, Tennessee, Alex Wilson of Yokosuka, Japan, and Max Daily of Dallas, Texas; honorary granddaughters Ty Daily of Dallas, Texas and Jennifer Daily Patterson of Shoreline, WA, and her nieces Jeri Blair (Lee) of Weaverville, North Carolina, Phyllis Jeschke of Bartlett, Texas and Jane Jeschke of Miles, Texas.
She was preceded in death by her father, Francis Lang (1937); her mother, Mildred Lang (1991); her husband, Tex Niemann (1997); her daughter, Marcia Niemann (2022); her niece, Susan Bartels Bridgers (2022); and her sister, Doris Lang Bartels Lubker (2025).
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on September 24, 2026, at Alder Grove United Methodist Church in Craig, Nebraska, with Pastor Gregg Gahan officiating.
