Joyce Barry West

Born on April 3, 1936 in Toledo, Ohio, Joyce lived a life marked by warmth, care, and a vibrant spirit that made her the life of the party. She shared 58 wonderful years with her husband, John West, and was a cherished mother to her sons, Jeff (Carrie) and Jason (Catherine). Her joy was multiplied by her grandchildren, Maggie, Meri Claire, and Jason Jr.

Joyce attended St. Ursuline Academy followed by Mary Manse College, both in Toledo, Ohio, where she formed lifelong friendships and laid the foundations for her future. Joyce lived in North Palm Beach, Florida for 34 years before moving to Jacksonville in 2012 to be closer to family. Her commitment to community and love for others were evident to all who knew her.

A devout member of Holy Family Catholic Church, Joyce's faith was an important aspect of her life. Her family invites friends and community members to a funeral service at Holy Family Catholic Church on Friday, September 20th at 10:30 am to honor her memory.
