John Edwin McDermott

John was born in Chattanooga TN to Mr. and Mrs. Richard McDermott. He retired from CSX Railroad and Blue Cross Blue Shield of Florida. He was actively involved in his HOA in different positions; participated in different environmental groups and their activities. John liked to travel - he saw all of the State Parks in Florida.

John is survived by his sisters; Jeannette Tyler (David) and Jane McDermott; brothers, William and Lawrence McDermott; three nephews, Paul, Curtis and Stephen; and many true friends. A Memorial Service will be held in his honor at a later date at Lillian's Bar and Grill, 1593 Roosevelt Blvd in Jacksonville, FL.
