Joe Edward Mason Sr.

Joe Edward Mason Sr., 69, of Jacksonville passed away Thursday, April 27, 2017 at Memorial Hospital. Joe was born on December 22, 1947 in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida to the late Frank and Yvonne Mason. Joe served in the United States Navy from 1972 to 1980 as an aviation structural hydraulic mechanic. He was active in church and the masonic lodge. He enjoyed television, movies, music but above all he loved spending time with his children and grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Jerry Mason; spouse, Lynda Mason. He leaves to cherish his memory his children, JoAnn Krech and spouse, Brian, Joe Mason Jr and fiancé, Krystal Sahli, Cathy Lee Smith and spouse, Harry Jr., Yvonne Mason and Dawn Mason; brother, James “Jim” Mason and spouse, Rose; several nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great grandchildren. A Celebration of Joe’s life will be at 1:00 p.m., May 4, 2017 Woodstock Park Congregational Church, 3201 Columbus Ave., Jacksonville, Fl. 32254 with Rev. Keith Taylor. The family will receive family and friends one hour prior to the service.
