Joann L Farquhar

Born on April 12, 1956 in Detroit Michigan she lived a life full of grace, kindness, and boundless love.While some families are blended by chance, Joann proved that hearts are blended by absolute choice. She stepped into the lives of her two cherished daughters, Kimberly Farquhar Walker, Carey Farquhar and Cricket Farquhar, not as a stepmother, but as a true mother in every single way that mattered. She didn't give them the gift of life; life gave her the gift of them. Her family takes comfort in knowing her bright spirit, her infectious laugh, and her endless love for her two daughters will live on forever.

Joann brought warmth, laughter, and a steady, guiding light to her home. Her greatest joy and deepest pride were found in raising, loving, and cheering on Kimberly, Carey , and Cricket. She taught them strength, showed them unconditional love, and proved that motherhood lives in the heart.

She is survived by her loving her devoted daughters, Kimberly, Carey and Cricket, Two brothers Larry and Jack Leahy 3 sisters Peggy, Kathy, and Sandra and numerous nieces and nephews. Also her grandchildren Brittany Renfroe, Lorin Reese, Gerald Walker III, Brandon Orlando, Jessica Orlando an 14 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her loving husband Wayne (Buddy) Farquhar, Her parents John and Bertha Leahy, her bonus Mother Mable Leahy, and her brother Wayne Kramer.

Service Information Celebration of Life: August 1, 2026 at 1-4 pm at The Sandbar located at Crescent Beach St Augustine, Fl. Memorial Donations: In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the family.
