Jerry was born March 21, 1958 in Fort Dodge, Iowa to James and Dixie (Fish) Bennett. He graduated from Algona High School in 1976 and received an Associates in Science Degree from what is now Florida State College at Jacksonville. He entered the U.S. Navy after graduating high school and retired as a Chief Petty Officer after 18 years of service.
Jerry loved to go fishing, camping and most of all riding his motorcycle. When he made a friend, they were his friend for life. He adored his family, extended family members and friends and was there whenever he was needed. He will be sorely missed and forever loved by his family and friends.
He was predeceased by his father, James Bennett and his step-father, Robert Bowman.
Survivors include his wife; Pamela S (Alho) Bennett; two puppy kids, Lilbit and Dolly; his mother, Dixie Bowman; step-mother, Sue Bennett; two sisters, Cindy Rankin (Albert), Jane Euell; two brothers, Allen Dean Bennett (Robin), John Bennett (Laura); step-sister, Anita Bennett; two brothers-in-law, Thomas Alho (Denise), Alan Alho (Amy); many nieces and nephews, and his very best friend George "Ed" Lobetti (Regina).
Jerry asked to be cremated and his ashes scattered at sea.
