Jason Alan Singh

Jason A. Singh (Jay) of Jacksonville, Florida passed away on Wednesday, February 8th, 2023, at the age of 45. He was born on September 27th, 1977 in Toronto, Ontario where he grew up with his Mom, Dad, & Sister.

Jay worked in the insurance field. He was very versed in all types of insurance and had a knack for talking to people, sharing his knowledge, and guiding them to make the right choices for themselves.

He was actively involved in his family life. Jay’s main enjoyment, outside of being a sports fanatic, reading books and an avid movie-watcher, would be to share that time with his wife and children. If they were happy, then so was he.

Jay was a special person. He was gentle, funny, and amiable. Always willing to help and be there for others, he would be grateful and appreciative of those who loved and cared for him in both sickness and in health. He loved Sports and knew all kinds of stats for any imaginable sport. He loved to read James Patterson novels and had fun gaming and being involved with his kids.

Jay was of solid mind, and soul, but his body was weary. He chose to rest in peace and was able to share goodbyes with his family. He was as brave as he was kind. He loved and was loved in return. His family is thankful for the outpouring of support and kindness during this time.

He is preceded in death by his father, Mohan Singh; his grandparents, Dwarika Singh, Soondaria Singh, Herman Lalgee, & Joyce Lalgee, who are altogether now.

Jay is survived by his wife, Monica Singh; his children, Alexander Cotton, Julian Cotton, Matthew Singh, Leyla Singh and Avari Singh; as well as his loving mother and friend, Patricia Singh and sister, Jacqueline Singh.

The family would like to thank Shands- University of Florida for the care and compassion they showed our loved one in their final days. They were kind and offered care and service to Jay as their patient, and also to what they would soon come to know as a grieving family.
