Jim was born in Plainfield, New Jersey to the late Ernie and Jeanne Sehringer.
Jim had a huge heart and a love for life which he lived to the fullest! He was a rebel! He lived his life passionately without fear. He would often say: "Welcome to Jim's World!". He loved to be outdoors and excelled in everything he did! From windsurfing, jet skiing, riding/racing motorcycles, skydiving to flying his airplane! He was an excellent pilot and used to say he loved to be up in the sky so he could be closer to mom and dad.
We should all be happy for him that he lived his life that way because that is what he wanted.
Jim was married to Sandra (Hay) for 21 years and they had 2 beautiful daughters. Of all the things Jimmy ever did, he would say how proud he was of his girls, Amanda and Dakota. He loved his girls more than life. He would have done anything for them. Jim cherished his family and his friends.
There are no words that can express how much he will be missed. He will live on forever in the hearts of his family; beloved sister Patty, cherished daughters Amanda and Dakota and Sandy, who has always been family from the start; Jim loved his Uncle Steve and Uncle Alan and also many cousins, nephews and nieces.
We pray that God blesses Jim in Heaven and take comfort in knowing he is at peace in the arms of mom and dad. Until we meet again, Jim. We love you dearly and will cherish you in our hearts forever.
Jim's ashes will be scattered from his plane for his last skydive!
In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation in Jim's honor to the Wounded Warrior Project.
