He is also survived by his daughters, Katelyn DePeron & Emily DePeron, grandson Ryder and granddaughter Camryn. His stepdaughters Annmarie Deniz & Cathryn LaDuke, brother Robert (Bob) DePeron, Bob's wife Ann, nephews John & Trevor and his loving sister Cynthia (Cindy) DePeron Jackson.

Jim passed away on August 19, 2026 surrounded by his wife's loving touch, whispers and wife singing their favorite song, "STILL LOVING YOU" by Scorpion. His stepdaughter Annmarie held his hand to comfort him as well.

Jim definitely lived his life to the fullest, he lived it his way! He was a free spirit and enjoyed outdoors, nature, sailing, fishing, traveling cruising and playing the slots on the Victory Casino Boat or any casino when we traveled. Actually, we were able to enjoy our last cruise together on 8/9/2026, on the MSC Seashore. He wanted us to enjoy his Birthday cruise and we did. He always tried to make me happy and we would always travel on our birthdays, anniversaries, and even some holidays. He told me that this cruise would be his last, he knew his time was coming.

Jim was so cute and handsome and always had the looks of a bad boy and was a bad boy. That is why I was drawn to him and loved him so much. He brought spark, excitement, laughter, happiness and a very fulfilling life for our journey together. He always wanted to make my dreams come true and that is why we traveled so much. I will cherish all the memories of our travels together and we have so many of them that I really can't mention all of them because it is too long and they were really good times. I will always love you forever my love.

He especially loved his daughters Katelyn and Emily. He told me about the camping trips they took together when they were little and how special they were to him, especially the one's on the lake. He never forgot any of it and cherished them always.

Jim was thrilled to be a grandpa to Ryder and Camryn. He never thought he would see that day, but he did and he enjoyed every moment he got to spend with them. He truly loved them very much.

Jim was a wonderful stepdad to my kids and they loved him too. He was so happy to get to see Annmarie get married and he guided and helped Cathryn get through her challenges.

Jim had a lot of patience and understanding and accepted things that were thrown at him and I. He never got angry or cursed or lashed out. He was pretty laid back, cool headed and said, "things always work out eventually, just be patient" and he was right, it always did work out.

He loved to listen to Hard Rock music and his favorites are Black Sabbath, Ozzy Osborne, Alice Cooper, Scorpion, STYX, Metallica, Denzig, Led Zepplin, ETC. He would crank up the music in the car and house and it would vibrate, it was so loud. Again, I played our song, Still Loving You, and as I sang it to him he definitely heard it and took his last breath and is now in peace!!!
