Harold William Burkley

Mr. Harold William Burkley, 99, who was affectionately known as Hal, passed away on February 17, 2018 in Palm Coast, Florida. Harold was born on November 21, 1918 in Crown Point, Indiana. He was a veteran of the World War II serving in the United Stated Navy. He attended Purdue University where he obtained a B.S Degree in Mechanical Engineering in 1951. Harold later met & married Janet Baumgartl on February 14, 1971 and was employed by Dupont & Naval Avionics for many years.

Harold was an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting, fishing, and skeet shooting.

Harold was preceded in death by his parents, Edna (Chaffee) Ebert & Howard Burkley; sisters, Virginia Burkley & Mabel Pierce.

Harold is survived by his wife, Janet; two daughters, Donna (Thomas) Bowser & Diana (John) Anderson; 3 grandchildren; sister, Bernice Cilek; brother, Gene Ebert; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

A Celebration of life will be held at 1pm on Saturday, March 3, 2018 at Flagler Beach United Methodist Church.
