Frank is survived by his loving, caring wife of 68 years, Carol; his children Michael (Grace) and Diane (Jay) Spill; grandchildren Lori (Keith), Harrison, Michelle (Joe), and Lisa (Ben); and six great-grandchildren.
Frank was born in Clifton, New Jersey on July 25, 1926 to the late Salvatore and Daisy Messineo and was preceded in death by his sister, Constance. He was raised in Rutherford, New Jersey where he had a lot of fun causing mischief with his friends, resulting in many memorable stories to share when he was older. He served in the US Army with a tour in Japan. In 1950, he married Carol, the love of his life. After many years working in the home oil burner business, Frank moved his family to Hollywood, Florida where he opened his own Gulf gas station in Fort Lauderdale. He later joined Sears as a repair technician where he worked for 25 years. In his retirement years, he joined Enterprise Rent-A-Car where he delighted in driving cars from Fort Lauderdale to Miami and West Palm Beach.
Frank enjoyed camping and traveling, creating masterpieces on Microsoft Paint with a mouse, driving, ice skating, rollerblading, puzzles, trips to Walt Disney World, crabbing, clam-digging, fixing anything, spending time with his family, and was a big Miami Dolphins fan. His laughter was contagious, he always had a song to whistle, and twinkle in his eye.
As per his request, no funeral service will be held- just have everybody get together, have a beer, and Celebrate his Life.
