Eva Mae Unland

Eva Mae Unland, 84, passed away peacefully September 9, 2023 at her home in Jacksonville, Florida surrounded by family. She was born March 9, 1939 in Alma, Georgia to Abrus and Minnie Kight. Eva spent her youth in Georgia then followed her siblings to Chicago, Illinois to start her career. This is where she met the love of her life, the late Harold W Unland. They moved back south when they retired to Jacksonville, Florida where they spent time traveling and enjoying their family. Eva loved working at the flea market with her husband on the weekends and watching old westerns on TV.

Eva has extensive family in the Chicago area, Florida, and Georgia.

Eva is survived by her children, Jane (Tommy) Allen, Kris (Timmy) Benson, Tina Unland, and Sherri Ferguson, 9 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Harold W Unland, son Tim Benson, and 9 siblings,

Eva was a member of the Church of God of Prophecy in Mandarin and Middleburg, Florida.

A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, November 4th at 12:00pm, Noon, at the Church of God of Prophecy 3844 Burnett Park Rd. Jacksonville, FL 32257.
