Edmond (Ted) Clayton Fisher was born in Davenport, Iowa December 17th, 1931. Son of Roy and Eula (Lyons) Fisher. Survived by Marion Sullivan Fisher, his wife, his daughter, Jeanette Fisher Pollard(Kevin), Paul Fisher(Tama), and Dale Fisher, his sons, 4 grandsons, and 4 great grandchildren.
After graduating from Davenport High School, Ted attended college in Boise, Idaho majoring in English with a minor in Speech. Joining the Airforce, like his older brother Roy "Jack" Fisher, he too became a bomber pilot, and then on to be a B-25 instructor. After meeting Marion Sullivan, (who was in the WAF, Womens Airforce), he was contacted by letter from three superiors. Two from the Airforce, and a lady officer from WAF, asking what his intentions were. They were separated (men and women) in those days. Six months later they married. March 5th will be 70 years of marriage. He then worked at the family appraisal firm Roy R. Fisher Inc. for more than 50 years. Working alongside his two brothers Roy (Jack), and Tom Fisher, (for a short period). He was past president of the SREA (Society of Real Estate Appraisers), and member of MAI (Member Appraisal Institute) and a real-estate instructor for many years. He also worked alongside his son-in-law, Kevin Pollard for 34 years.Ted sang with his bothers, and regular family gatherings happened on the weekends whereby Jack and his 7 girls, Ted's children, and his brother Tom and grandpa Roy, would all gather around the piano and sing. Things like Handel's Messiah. Grandma Eula (Ted's Mother) played the piano, along with Joy, one of Ted's nieces.
Ted Fisher saw Davenport and the Quad-Cities grow into what it is today. He was 93 years old.
