Diane Nulf Marsh, age 80, passed away on October 16, 2024, in Jacksonville, FL. Born on June 30, 1944, Diane was the beloved daughter of the late George and Lois Nulf. She was preceded in death by her brother, James Allen Nulf.
She shared 56 years of marriage with her devoted husband, the Rev. Canon Robert F. Marsh, Jr., D.Min., whom she met in their 8th grade algebra class.
Diane's early life was marked by frequent moves due to her father's career as a Naval Officer. She mastered the art of making friends with her God-given bon ami. She graduated from DuPont Jr-Sr High School in 1962 and pursued further education, earning a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from Jacksonville University, a Master of Education from Georgia State University, and an Associate of Science in Nursing from Daytona Beach State College.
Diane initially embarked on a career as an elementary school teacher. After taking a break to raise her children, she transitioned to nursing, dedicating the last five years of her nursing career as a RN with Community Hospice. Her spirit of giving extended beyond her death, as she continued to help others as an organ and tissue donor.
She loved her Lord and the Episcopal churches wherever her husband served. Most recently she divided her time between St. Mark's, Palatka, FL, and St. Francis in the Field Episcopal Church. She was deeply involved in the Daughters of the King, Episcopal Church Women, Education for Ministry, Christian Formation and Vacation Bible School. Her hobbies included arts and crafts, and working in oils.
Diane is survived by her husband, Bob; sons, Robert F. Marsh, III (Erica) and Richard G. Marsh; daughter, Laura Elizabeth Marsh (Tony Campagna); daughter-in-law, Scarlett Higgins Marsh; grandchildren, Vance Marsh, Luke Marsh, Zane Marsh, and Ashley Campagna; former sister-in-law, Shirley Nulf; and niece and nephew, Debbie and Jim Nulf.
A burial service will be held on Saturday, November 16th at 11 am at St. Francis in-the-Field Episcopal Church. In lieu of flowers, please consider making contributions to St. Francis in the Field, stfrancispvb.org or St. Mark's Episcopal Church, stmarkspalatka.org.
Diane's legacy of kindness, generosity, vivacity and encouragement will be cherished and remembered by all who knew her.
