It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of David Bruce Price, 67, beloved husband of Elaine Fiscina Price on October 26, 2016 at Memorial Hospital, Jacksonville Florida. David was born July 21, 1949 in Detroit Michigan to Mary Price and the late Dale E.Price. David was first and foremost a family man. Elaine was the love of his life and soul mate. They shared a love that people can only hope to share in this lifetime. David was so very proud of his 5 children and 7 grandchildren. Along with Elaine, they were the center of his life. He loved his Mom, Dad, brother and sister with all of his heart and all of his extended family and countless friends he made during his lifetime. He loved his furry four legged son Rocco and his kitties. He faithfully cheered for the Jacksonville Jaguars and the Detroit Tigers. David preached to his children and grandchildren on the importance of having good character, as he himself lived everyday by exemplifying honesty, integrity, hard work, loyalty and always giving 100%. David was employed by USA Today as a District Sales Manager. He also spent his time and energy fulfilling his desire to help others with Watertree Health and their partnership with Make-A-Wish Foundation. Survivors include his wife Elaine Fiscina Price, sons David B. Price II (Aster), Philip Price (Jessica); his daughters Lisa McNeil (Sean), Laura Thompson (Sheldon), Jennifer Jackson (James); mother Mary Price; grandchildren Bryce, Ian ,Jacob, Kylie, Tyler , Alexandria and Kolton; siblings Jan Hayes (Don) and Scott Price; and niece Farrah Hayes. In addition to his father Dale, he was predeceased by his grandparents David and Jessie Sim, mother in law Elizabeth Corliss, his niece Sheela Markwood and sister in law Joy Price. A Mass will be held at St. Joseph Historic Catholic Church, 4214 Loretto Rd. Jacksonville Florida 32223 on Saturday, November 5 at 3:00pm. A celebration of David's life will be held following the Mass from 5:30pm until 8:30pm at the Julington Creek Plantation Club, 350 Plantation Club Parkway Saint Johns, Florida 32259. The family would like to thank Dr. Richard C. Agnew and Dr. Albert G. Hakaim and all of the staff at Mayo Clinic Jacksonville for their care and expertise during David's time there. We would also like to thank the staff at Brooks Rehabilitation Hospital for their care as well.
