Connie was born on November 24, 1934, in West Chester, PA to Thomas DiCecco and Brigette Catena DiCecco. Connie graduated from the Jackson Memorial School of Nursing in 1955 and was married to Philip George Peterson Jr. in 1960. She worked as a registered nurse and then a full-time wife and mother of three.
She was actively involved in the St. Bartholomew’s Women’s Club and was a room parent at the school. She carpooled and attended every sporting event, performance and celebration of her children, grandchildren, family members, and friends. She loved to sew, craft, paint, crochet, read, play piano—and organ. She loved gardening and was especially fond of her orchids, though her favorite flower was always the Lilac. She loved boating, fishing, and spending weekends in the Keys. She loved vacation adventures with family and friends. Most favorite of all, she loved to cook and bake, especially for large gatherings of either family or friends, she knew how to throw a great party. She loved God and life and did her part to add joy, love, and laughter in everything she did.
