Charles R Clouse

Charles “Chuck” Clouse, 81, of Jacksonville, FL, passed away June 14, 2017 at the Hadlow Center for Caring surrounded by his family. Chuck was born and raised in Ohio City, OH to the late Walter and Evelyn (Hough) Clouse. He graduated from Liberty High School, in Ohio City. He was a proud veteran, served 3 years in the U. S. Marine Corps. He came home and attended and graduated from Virginia Polytechnic Institute (VPI). Chuck was employed by Independent Life Insurance, after many years of dedicated service to the company he retired. He loved growing orchids, playing poker, and cruising around the world. Chuck was a member of Jacksonville Orchid Society, and American Orchid Society. Chuck was preceded in death by his parents; grandson, Matthew LeClere; brother, Larry Clouse; sister, Geraldine Sallee; stepson, Kevin Page. He is survived by his loving wife, Joyce Hagan Clouse; daughter, Debbie Bonner; son, Gary (Pam) Clouse; stepson, Randy Page; grandchildren, Shannon (Josh) Deckard, Amanda LeClere; step grandchildren, Erica and Rachel Page; 2 sisters, Rosalyn (Jim) Witten of Lake Placid, FL, and Gloria (Jon) Foor of Largo, IN; great grandson, Chase Deckard, and host of other relatives and friends, who will miss him dearly.
