Carol Garutti

Carol Garutti, 84, of Jacksonville and Merritt Island, FL, passed away on September 29, 2026. Known for her quick wit and infectious laugh, she brought absolute joy to everyone she met. As a talented artist, she threaded her passion for art into her daily life. Professionally, she operated her successful screen-printing business, SunRay T-Shirts, until she retired. Personally, she was a founding member of the Ten Women in Art where her art was exhibited in museums and galleries throughout Florida. Carol loved being outdoors, the arts, music, and tennis. As a long time “Islander” she spent many happy days with her husband sailing their boat up and down the Indian River with family and friends.

She is survived by “the twins” Michelle (Jolie) and Michael (Michelle), her brothers Dale (Karen) and Mark, seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Angelo, her son, David, her parents, Virginia and Albert, her brother Alan (Lynn), and her sister-in-law, Suzy.
