Betty Jean Gunvordahl

Betty Jean Gunvordahl, 86, of Jacksonville passed away Monday, May 1, 2017 at Kindred Hospital in Green Cove Springs. Betty was born on July 11, 1930 in San Antonio, Tx to the late Major General Carl McDaniel, USAF Ret. and Ruth McDaniel. Betty loved her sweets and spending time with her family. She never missed an episode of Judge Judy and enjoyed Fixer Upper. She was a generous soul and Godly woman who never spoke one ill word towards anyone. She was a long time member of the Jacksonville Church of Christ. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Lt. Col. John W. Gunvordahl, USAF Ret. She leaves to cherish her memory her children, Jean Henderson and spouse, Dr. Randy, Jan Comos and spouse, Gregg, Keith Gunvordahl, Scott Gunvordahl and spouse, Nancy; grandchildren, Carl Henderson and spouse, Alisha, Nathan Henderson and Spouse, Lauren, Kaylie and John Gunvordahl; dear friend, Ruby Henderson. A Celebration of Betty’s life will be 2:00 p.m. Sunday, May 7, 2017 at the Jacksonville Church of Christ, 6118 Bowden Road, Jacksonville, FL 32216. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be sent to the Jacksonville Church of Christ, 6118 Bowden Road, Jacksonville, FL 32216 in honor of Betty. Neptune Society is in charge of her arrangements.
