Bernie was born in Taylor, Pennsylvania on December 18, 1932. He was preceded in death by his parents Sidney O. Roberts and Margaret Roberts, his beloved sister, Sharon Roberts, and his son, Monti L. Roberts. Bernie served four years in the United States Air Force. Upon discharge, he worked as an air traffic controller, a profession he loved. Bernie was an avid golfer and enjoyed playing with his sons. Aside from his profession and hobbies, Bernie’s greatest passion in life was following Jesus Christ. Bernie loved studying the Bible and was quick to share his faith with everyone.
He is survived by his wife, Marilyn Roberts, his children, Rick (Cathy) Roberts, Chuck Roberts, Tricia (Doug) Lynn, and Christopher Roberts; his sister, Lynne (Ed) Dzupinka. He is also survived by his stepchildren Jeff Johnson, Lynn Barrett, and Lori (Rickey) Sparkman, numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
